Alita: Battle Angel in Theaters

I just got back from seeing “Alita: Battle Angel,” and I have to say, I loved it. I’m a fan of the original graphic novel manga series and anime movie from the ’90s, and was wondering what they would cut out to make the big screen. Surprisingly, apart from one or two understandable “time-crunching” adjustments, there really weren’t any major departures (although there were many small departures).

I have to say, it was very good. There are some heartbreaking moments, and those play out just as they did in the graphic novels, and the action was absolutely outstanding. Especially the motorball sequences. See it in 3D if you can, just for that!

If you haven’t see “Alita: Battle Angel”, go see it. Please. We need to pump the box office up so there can be a sequel. It’s definite one of the best anime/manga adaptations that I’ve seen. With that said, here’s a fairly fair review.
